Simon Wells has an extensive background in Retail Operations and Human Resources, having worked in a number of Senior, Board level HR roles for the past 14 years.  

His broader experience  at companies such as Poundland & Dealz, Asda, McColl's Retail Group, Musgrave Retail Partners, Budgens Stores Ltd, and Waitrose bring together a strong suite of experience and commercial knowledge. 

With significant experience in leading value adding HR teams with a clear strategic intent and results driven he has supported multiple retail stores across the UK and Ireland. 

Simon is known for his dedication to supporting and developing colleagues in the retail industry alongside his commitment to continually improve organisational results through a commercial experience that spans nearly 40 years.  

Simon holds various qualifications in his field, has a Post Graduate Degree in the CIPD, is a qualified coach and is accredited in a number of behavioural assessment tools including Disc, Insights, Myers Briggs and OPQ32. 

He is chair of the trustee board for the Poundland Foundation and has a real passion for supporting communities and families through the work that the Foundation can support.
